A child can wear the smaller hair tie or when you have half of your hair up. The larger one is perfect for ponytails or braids.
You will need small amount of DK yarn and less than 100 grams to make all the designs.
I have also tried the pattern with fingering weight yarn and the same hook and it turned a little smaller but still cute. Sport weight yarn can also be an option, making the Ophelia bow and hair ties an amazing stash buster for many types of yarn.
