It's finally done! I've been wanting to make a toque (or beanie) with my favourite owl motif for a while now. I finally got around to it and I have to say, it turned out better than I thought!
The pattern uses worsted weight yarn and size 5 mm (size 8 US) single pointed knitting needles and a cable needle. If you don’t know how to do cable stitches, I’ve added scannable QR codes and links to videos to help you along.
This knitting pattern is knit flat making it very easy to make. I indicate where to change the colours of yarn in the pattern so there isn’t any confusion. But please note, you can knit the beanie in one solid colour also. There’s no reason why you can’t.
This tuque is in adult sizes only!
This hat also has matching owl motif gloves, though that pattern is NOT included with this pattern.

Haven’t had toile to start it yet.
The hat turned out very nice and fits well. The directions were easy to follow, and the pictures were helpful, too. I knitted it in the round instead of flat which is easy to do; just cast on two fewer stitches and knit instead of purl and purl instead of knit on wrong side rows.
I am an experienced knitter and this hat turned out way too big. I was surprised ay no of stitches cast on but did the small size. This turned out xl and way too many rows so not a snug fit at all. Will have to improvise to making smaller next time.
