Product Details
Pebble Beach Side to Side Shawl is perfect for beginners as you start from one point of your triangle, increasing each row on one side only, maintaining a straight side throughout, so it's easier for a beginner to learn to count stitches, and also to see as the pattern develops if you have missed or added a stitch.
Once you reach the centre point you start to decrease each row, again maintaining your straight side, until you come back to a point.
This pattern is very adaptable I have made it using chunky, fancy sparkly and cotton lace and sportweight yarn, and it looks beautiful in all yarn weights.
I have added a quick summary version in two sizes at the end for more advanced crocheters who don't need the detail, but essentially you can decide where your halfway point is, and make it the size you wish.
The pattern is written in UK and USA crochet terms and includes a pictorial of how to make the tassels.
I used James C. Brett Marble Chunky x 4 balls in MC46 (Green) and MC79 (Spring).
