Product Details
These mitts are named for the Uniform Penny Post, which
was established in England in 1840 and allowed the post to
be accessible to all by charging only one penny to send a
letter anywhere within the United Kingdom. The stitch
pattern used in cuff and top of these fingerless mitts is
based on a Victorian shell stitch pattern published shortly
after this postal reform was enacted. A palm gusset is used
for comfort. Wear a piece of history when you are mailing a
letter or drinking tea on the deck on a cool morning!
