Product Details
When leaves fall in the autumn, they leave a little scar behind on the stem. In some species, this scar—the periderm—is quite large and shows where the veins that fed the leaf emerged from the stem. They are little reminders of how we grow as we need, and then let go when we have to.
In this scarf, the little scars stack on each other in a pleasing way to create a fabric that is both supple and soft. I love the luxury that the touch of cashmere give the scarf, but also appreciate the strength lent by the touch of nylon. It is a simple but not mindless lace, good for either practicing new skills or for enjoying old favorites. Like the memory of leaves in winter, periderm is both lasting and beautiful. Enjoy!
