Double up these cozies to make the cup look like it's wearing a petticoat. The two pink layers are the ones that I keep in my purse the most often :)
Original edition of this pattern was published in a pattern booklet available exclusively to new and renewing members of CGOA (Crochet Guild of America) beginning in August 2009. The now out-of-print booklet was called "Across the Board Crochet."
Iris Rathbone is the author of a book I reviewed in my DesigningVashti blog back when I was reviewing early 1970's crochet books.
