Product Details
A pilot light is a small flame used to light a gas fire. Like my furnace, this pilot light is just visible in the darkness and races off to disappear in the distance.
Pilot Light is a ruched slouchy hat that employs an integrated I-cord that moves across the surface of the fabric using cable crossings.
Yarn Requirements: Double-knitting weight wool with approximately 260 yards/238m per 115g in the following amounts: Main Colour (MC): 190 (230, 285) yds/175 (210, 260) m. Shown in SweetGeorgia Superwash DK, “charcoal”. Contrast Colour (CC): 10 yds/9 m (all sizes). Shown in SweetGeorgia Superwash DK, “oceanside”.
Needles: US 4/3.5mm and US 6/4mm circulars, both 16 in/40 cm long, and a set of US 6/4 mm double pointed needles (or other needle arrangement suitable for knitting a small diameter circularly) to finish the crown.
Notions: stitch markers, cable needle, darning needle.
This pattern has been professionally photographed and tech-edited.
