This pattern is challenging. It is probably the most difficult pattern I have ever designed. To succeed in knitting it, the ability to concentrate on your knitting is critical. Familiarity with stacked technique is highly desirable.
Some advice on materials. You will need fingering-weight yarn, not superwash or sock yarn-type. The knitted fabric is very convoluted, and needs to be blocked vigorously to lay flat. Superwash yarns don’t block to that extent. The yarn also should not split on your needles, and be evenly spun (don’t use tweeds, I’ve tried!). Also don’t mix yarn of different thickness. The needles: stainless steel circulars, with sharp tips. I suggest starting with 1-pattern repeat sample (you can actually knit a skinny scarf 1-repeat wide), and go on to more repeats only after that.
