Product Details
The Queenslander is a generously sized and light weight triangular shaped shawl inspired by a Vintage pattern for a lace collar published in The Queenslander in 1924. The Queenslander was the weekend magazine edition of the main newspaper in Brisbane (Queensland, Australia): the Brisbane Courier.
The shawl uses a top-down construction, starting with the longest edge of the triangle. It features triangular netting, edging with elongated treble clusters and finished with picots. Because of the construction method, it is easy to modify for a different gauge or to adjust the size; you simply need an odd number of repeats in the first row.
