If you want the perfect balance between super-casual hoodie and an elegant pullover, here's your answer! The lace pattern across the chest is also worked on the sleeves and edge of the hood. Some waist shaping creates a more flattering fit. The sample was worked in a hand-painted yarn; when choosing yours, make sure the colorway is not super busy so as to show off the lace pattern to its best advantage. This design will look great in solid, semi-solid or heathered colors, too!
The body is worked in the round to the armholes, then divided to work the front and back separately to the shoulders, which are joined using Three-Needle Bind-Off. Pick up stitches along the neckline for the hood, and work it back and forth, using short-rows to shape the top. Work the front lace border separately and graft it to the front edge of the hood. Work the sleeves in the round from the cuff up, then shape the cap by working back and forth.
