Product Details
This is a pdf pattern to make a pair of fairisle wrist warmers on a stash busting, quilting theme, to accompany the matching Hat.
Once upon a time I was a quilter and would spend many hours cutting up perfectly good fabric, then stitching it together again! Some of my favourite quilting patterns were flying geese, pinwheels and stars, all of which feature on the wrist warmers.
You can use all your little scraps - do you only have enough of a colour for one or two rows? Or enough for 8 or 10 rows? The most I used for any contrast colour was 3.5 grams for the centres of the stars.
I found a colour wheel to be a really handy tool for putting those scraps together - you can easily find one to download online. I went for contrasting colours to make them really pop - but was careful to keep them roughly the same value (light or dark).
Materials I used one colour for the background (approx. 30g) and lots of scraps for all the colours, only using around 2.5gm each of most colours.
