Product Details

An extra-warm, double-knitted scarf and matching hat in the colours of the rainbow. Try out your double-knitting and stranded techniques and keep those rainclouds away. The scarf is knitted back and forth on two needles, the hat in the round.

The finished scarf is 140 cm (55 inches) long (not including fringe) by 18 cm (7 inches) wide. Including the fringe it is 160 cm (63 inches) long. There are two hat sizes, one 61 cm diameter, the other 55 cm diameter. The yarn needed is the same for each hat. To make only the scarf you'll only need 2 balls of each colour.

The scarf sample is knitted using Moda Vera 8 ply and the hat sample using Morris & Sons Estate 8 ply, but I have given colours and quantities here for Debbie Bliss Rialto DK (and also in the pattern for Schachenmayer Merino Extrafine 120).
