Reginella

Reginella is a top down beanie to which a simple Van Dyke border lends fun, imaginativeness and preciusness. The garter border, knitted perpenducularly to the hat, creates a series of points by means of yarn over and bind offs which turns the simple hat into a royal crown. The single-ply used for the hat is 100% wool and its gradient dye has shades that somewhat remind of precious stones; the effects created by the two directions in which the hat is knitted lend it unusual color effects. A smooth border is provided in case you prefer a more straightforward look. The name the pattern is inspired to an old Neapolitan song written by Libero Bovio in 1917.
