Product Details
This eye-catching sweater features a textured, graphic cable and rib motif that beautifully transitions from and into a matching ribbing.
The Rock Formation Sweater features a straight body, wide crew neck and drop shoulders. The construction is worked top-down. The pattern starts at the shoulders with the upper front and back pieces, incorporating the neck and shoulder shaping. These pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) in k2/p2 ribbing that smoothly transitions into the body cable motif. The motif is then continued until the hem, which again transitions back into a k2/p2 ribbing for the bottom hem. The body sides are seamed (a simple straight seam) leaving an opening for the sleeves. Then the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round in st. st. down to the ribbed cuff.
The cable pattern is provided in both charts and written instructions so you can choose which you prefer to work from.
I have also designed a matching shawl, the Rock Formation Shawl.
Enjoy!
