Product Details
For the SPO shawl, I was inspired by the traces in the sand of the Wadden Sea. The town of Sankt Peter-Ording (SPO) in northern Germany is just one of the many places near the Wadden Sea. The traces in the giant, shallow beach are formed by the tides and winds.
The mix of colours and textures creates excitement. This shawl shows the beauty of a variegated yarn - without pooling. The symmetrical body is knitted in two colours. The asymmetrical, wavy border is knitted with short rows.
This crescent shawl is worked from the top down. Starting with a two-colored garter stitch, it’s soon transformed into an old shale pattern. By adding waves the shawl is growing asymmetrically. The edging is worked with an I-cord.
