Product Details
The Rossmore shawl is a triangular shawl, worked in biased garter stitch. Its simple garter stitch & slipped stitch patterns make this pattern suitable for confident beginners, as only one colour is worked in each row.
The pattern begins by casting on a few stitches, increasing the number of stitches as you work. The shawl is worked flat, in garter stitch stripes, and with simple motifs. The simple mosaic stitch motifs are inspired by geometric surface decoration on gold lunulae in the National Museum of Ireland.
The pattern includes written and charted instruction for the slipped stitch motifs.
Gauge: 23 sts and 48 rows per 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch. Gauge is not critical but will affect yarn usage and finished size.
