The Ruke ribbed hats knitting pattern offers two distinct yet similar designs. One is a timeless ribbed beanie, while the other is an onion-style hat perfect for kids, but for adults too. Both hats are worked in rounds from the bottom to top in Rib stitch pattern (k2, p2) using 4mm (US6, UK8) 40cm circular needles.
**Yarn (two yarns held together):**1. Ruke knit, Wool (100% Wool; 100g (3.5oz) = 350m (383yds)). 2. Ruke knit, Wool (100% Wool; 100g (3.5oz) = 350m (383yds)). Note: If you want a fluffier hat, you should add a third yarn, mohair/silk, which you can find in your local yarn shop or in e-shops of most yarn brands.
**Yarn weight (Worsted / Afghan / Aran):**100 g ― 3.5 oz ― 1 ball ― 350 m ― 383 yds
**Needles:**4mm (US6, UK8) 40cm (16in) circular needles and 4mm (US6, UK8) 20cm (7.75in) 4 pcs. double point needles.
**Gauge:**10cm x 10cm (4in x 4in) = 16 stitches x 28 rows in Rib stitch after washing.
