Product Details
Saldanha is a place in South Africa where the contrast could not be higher: on one side there is the dark, gloomy steelworks, on the other hand, a Greek-influenced apartment complex all in white. The Saldanha hat is a beginner-compatible project that does not require complicated stitch patterns. The contrasting stripes transverse to the knitting direction and create an interesting texture.
The hat is simply constructed from the bottom to the crown. The stockinette stitches are interrupted by stripes. The contrasting stripes are worked at regular intervals. The unisex hat is knitted in sport weight yarn. For the main colour (MC) I used a merino/ silk blend. For the contrast colour (CC) I used a cotton yarn with a pop of colour. The pattern is also ideal for using left overs as CC.
