This cleverly styled tank top is designed to flatter with subtle shaping that will skim your frame. It features a simple cable pattern and neat pocket giving it texture and interest, making it a perfect layering piece that will become a staple of your transitional wardrobe.
It is suitable for a beginner who has mastered the basics of knitting: casting on and off, increasing and decreasing, picking up and knitting and inserting a pocket. It is made with a chunky weight yarn and knits up super quick on 6mm needles.
I desgned this pattern for my friend Sally who loves a tank top, but has never found one that truly flatters her petite, but curvy frame. The proportions of this tank top ensure that it skims but doesn't cling and it enhances her waist and elongates her neck with the slightly wider boat neck style. The shoulders are as narrow as possible to balance her curves.
