Santa Sleigh Ride

Santa is rushing home with a team of reindeer (headed by Rudolph of course!) and towing a Christmas tree behind the sleigh. This decoration is strung onto clear fishing line, so when hanging against a wall it will appear to be flying through the sky. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and a few pieces are i-cord worked on two DPNs. The characters are all knitted predominantly in stockinette stitch, with increases and decreases plus short rows for shaping. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish. The sleigh is 9cm wide x 8cm tall, the tree is 8cm tall, and each reindeer 9.5cm wide x 10cm tall.
