Sasan | potholder, hot pad or afghan block

Here is Sasan, part of the Travelling East Collection. Each tile in the collection comes with an accompanying triangle (to give you the freedom to use your squares as diamonds in cushions or blankets). It also comes with an original design to showcase the many possibilities we have to turn these tiles into different type of objects. The design accompanying the Sasan tile is a simple but eye catching potholder or hot pad.

Gauge: Gauge is not crucial for this pattern, as long as your tile lies flat.

Notions: √ Tapestry needle, stitch markers. √ Optional: Some fleece or other recycled cloth to fold in between the two tiles to secure a heat resisting hot pad.

Yarn: √ A #2 fine (Fingering, 12wpi) or #3 lightweight (DK, 11wpi), or #4 medium (Aran, 8wpi) per tile:

approx 60m/33yd (C1).

approx 35m/38yd (C2).
