This pattern was created out of necessity, as a way to use up all the little bits and pieces of yarn that I have collected over the years. After completing knitting projects, I would be left with half-balls of yarn, and scraps as small as one yard long. I couldn’t bring myself to throw these remnants away, but neither could I continue to let them collect in a bag in my closet. Therefore, the Scrapyard Scarf was born in order to use up every last inch of my yarn.
