About: Many of my designs are inspired by nature and the beauty that is reflected in the landscapes, rivers, lakes and seas that make up our beautiful country Aotearoa, New Zealand. This hat has been designed to reflect the reefs and the kelp forests that grow around New Zealand shores. The kelp and reef plants grow like vines through our waters. Which led me to the name Sea Vine Hat. Designed with a larger twisted cable running between two smaller cables this pattern is both written and charted for working in the round in a range of sizes. Alternative instructions are given for twisted stitches on the smaller cables.
