Product Details
September Garden Cowl, part of the Friluftsliv Cowl Collection, is knit from the bottom up in two pieces and then joined to knit in the round. It features mosaic or slipped stitch patterning. There is no seaming or stranded colorwork. The textured stitches represent the lifecycle of flowers, ending with the final September blooms and subsequent petals that sprinkle overgrown grass and weeds in early autumn. Friluftsliv (pronounced free-loofts-liv) is a Scandinavian term that translates to "open air living." My designs are inspired by nature and meant to brighten and enhance our outdoor experiences. With a gauge of 20 stitches per 4" (10.16 cm), it can be knit in a heavy DK or worsted yarn and is a wonderful way to highlight a special skein of variegated with a complementary tonal or solid color.
