It’s Elmo! He's my original design that I created based on the character from Sesame Street. This pattern is purely fan art (flattery in its highest form), and is in no way associated with the TV series.
It helps to have some experience making amigurumi toys to complete him successfully (intermediate skill level). If you can crochet in continuous rounds using a magic ring and know basic stitches, you shouldn’t have any trouble. He is crocheted in rounds in several pieces, then sewn together. This pattern takes the better part of a 3.5-oz skein of red yarn, and scrap amounts of the other colors (white, black, orange)—you may already have what you need in your stash. You'll also need some black embroidery floss and 8mm safety eyes.

Found this to be a great pattern 😊 I had to figure out 2places but my fault, I didn't read and focus on where you work the mouth . I purchased the Elmo Stuffed Toy Crochet Pattern. It was easy to follow along with the accurate readable well written pattern which made for and easy production. If you love the Elmo character, I recommend that you get this pattern right here. It takes you step by step with diagrams to assure that your work looks like or as close as you can get it to the pictures from crocheting the parts to assembly!
I bought a downloadable pattern to crochet Elmo. At first I could not download the attachment and sent a message. A quick response with another method to print and it worked. I learned to crochet as a teenager, in another language, so I needed to look up translation of stitches. I am now an older grandma, but managed to follow the pattern and excited to give my grandson the finished Elmo. He looks great!
I didn't have any problems following the pattern. The instructions were clear and accurate. I am very happy with how my Elmo turned out!
