Product Details
An individual pattern from The Shetland Trader-Book One, a collection of 10 patterns inspired by the Shetland Islands from designer Gudrun Johnston with photography by Jared Flood.
It felt fitting that I name this yoked cardigan after one of my favourite Shetland seabirds, Shalder or Oyster Catcher, with its long orange beak and distinctive call. During the photoshoot they darted about, very much an integral part of the landscape.
The cardigan is worked bottom-up; body and sleeves are joined at the underarm to work the yoke.
