Product Details

The Sherbourne Hat and Cowl are knitted seamlessly in the round using tucks/pleats to create warmth and structure without bulk.

The hat sizes for the head circumference: Medium = 20.25 inches / 51.5cm, Large = 23.25 inches / 59cm.

To get a good fit you want to a choose a smaller size than your actual head circumference. The cowl measures 26.5 inches / 67cm at the widest part of the cowl at the shoulders. It is shaped tapering to 20.5 inches / 52cm at the neck.

Reminiscent of Elizabethan collars, this cowl is named after Sherbourne New Castle in Dorset, which was built by Sir Walter Raleigh on the estate in Sherbourne Dorset, leased to him by Queen Elizabeth I. The original Lodge has been added to over the centuries and Capability Brown redesigned the parkland in the 18th Century.
