The SHETLAND hat knitting pattern comes as a PDF with written instructions, charts and photos which you can download immediately after the payment. It prints onto A4 or US Letter paper. You will need a soft such as Adobe Reader to access it. This is intermediate level knitting pattern; the following skills are required: Cast on, Knit, Purl, Circular Knitting, Color Knitting, Bind off. All measurements are given in US and metric. Hat is knitted in one piece. Furthermore full pattern support is available by message or email.
SIZE: 20”–22” / 52–55 cm circumference
YARN: Any DK/8 ply weight yarn. I used DROPS Soft Tweed yarn: 57 yds / 20 g off white color 01 — A, 30 yds / 10 g lemon pie color 13 — B, 43 yds / 15 g carrot cake color 18 — C, 43 yds / 15 g raven color 09 — D.
GAUGE: 4” × 4” / 10 cm × 10 cm = 21 sts × 28 rows in stockinette stitch.
NEEDLES: Circular or double pointed needles US 3–4 / 3–3.5 mm.
