What you'll need
Product Details
This leafy triangular shawl is loosely inspired by the final volume of Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising sequence, Silver on the Tree, and by sparkly green yarn.
The pattern is currently charted only; written instructions will be added at a later date. Although nearly all of the lace patterning is worked on the right side of the fabric, each chart contains one WS row that includes decreases.
Note: During test-knitting, the entire 437yd skein of Cascade Heritage Silk was required to finish the shawl. Check gauge carefully. If concerned about yardage, you may wish to use a slightly smaller needle or purchase extra yarn.
Silvertree Shawl -- a smaller fingering-weight sibling to my Party Tree Shawl -- features lace patterning worked on both right and wrong sides, four rows of leaves separated by diamond-shaped stockinette sections, and a simple leaf-and-chevron edging.
