Product Details
Simnia Layette includes the patterns for: Cardigan, Blanket, Hat, Mitts, Booties.
Each item in this set has a patterning reminiscent of sea shells. It is a repeat of six stitches and is easy to memorise. Each item is seamless for baby's comfort.
Simnia Cardigan is worked from the top down seamlessly. Initially you will be working flat in rows from the neckband to the sleeve separation. Sleeve stitches are put on hold while you finish the skirt. Then the sleeves are worked seamlessly to the cuff. There are optional short rows to add shaping to the back of the yoke. The button bands are knitted with the rest of the garment in one piece.
Simnia Blanket is in several sizes with the larger sizes having the option of garter stripes (waves) running through the shells. Instructions are given for a single colour but if preferred the shells could be knitted in a contrast yarn.
Gauge:
Cardi, Mitts, Booties, Hat: 22stsx28rows = 10cm/4" on 4mm (US6);
Blanket 20sts on 5mm = 10cm.
