Product Details

A simple shawl to un-complicate your life

Difficulty: Easy; The pattern uses only a few stitches but keeps it interesting with the texture. This would be a good beginner shawl.

Approximate Finished Measurements: 66” wingspan x 28 ½” down the center spine after blocking

Materials 473—yards (433 meters) of heavy worsted weight yarn. We used Noro Silk Garden (110yds/50G ball, 45% Mohair, 45% Silk, 10% Wool): Color: 449: 5 balls

US Size 9 (5.5mm) 32” circular knitting needle

2 stitch markers

Gauge 12 sts, 20 rows = 4” in st st on US Size 9 (5.5mm) knitting needle after blocking.

Designer Note About Construction The shawl is worked from the top down. You’ll start with a tab, pick up a few stitches, and then work the body of the shawl.

This is an ideal pattern since you can stop any time, or when you run out of yarn. Keep in mind that if you want to make the shawl larger, you’ll need to purchase more yarn.
