Simple Washcloth or Dishcloth
Written Pattern with Photos
Simple cloth crochet pattern created using a very easy one row repeat textured stitch that a beginner can do.
single crochet (UK double crochet) and double crochet (UK treble crochet).
Both US terms and UK terms are used throughout the pattern, with UK terms in brackets.
The washcloth is made with cotton aran yarns for durability and are machine wash and dry. Any cotton aran brand will be a good yarn for the washcloth and you will need less than one 50g ball of cotton aran per washcloth.
Gauge really is not important as you can make the cloths whichever size you like, however, with a 5mm hook and a starting chain of 35, my cloth was around 7"x7" approx.
