Product Details

I use an architecture from Cat Bordhi’s New Pathways for Sock Knitters for all of my socks, but I can’t copy her directions for my pattern. I’ve included instructions for gusset shaping and the heel, but please feel free to use your favorite gusset and heel method. The charted pattern is used on the top of the foot and leg. The sole and gusset are done in a simple ticking pattern.

There is very little stretch in these so I STRONGLY recommend trying them on frequently as you go. (I tried them on every time I finished another inch of the leg.) If you find that they are getting too tight, tink back a few rows and either go up a needle size or add a stitch on each side of the leg.

These socks are named in memory of my beautiful, blue great dane, Skye.
