My idea was born primarily out of summer time where one is outside in warm weather and going in and out of air conditioning and getting cold. I didn't want to drag around a bag for a large sweater and thought if I had something that was just long sleeves that I could carry around, it would be possible to keep my arms warm and that would make it warm enough to be comfortable.
It can be worn as a scarf in winter, and one side can be tucked into the other to keep it around your neck. It can be wound around the neck twice and the wrists of the sleeves tucked into each other to be a "double cowl". One can carry it tied to a bag or tied around the waist. It's small and tucks away easily.
And when you need it, you just stick your arms into the sleeves and the "scarf connector" goes across the back!
You'll see how useful it is going into a cold grocery from a hot day, or sitting in a cold movie theater. It can be easier or more complex. You choose what pattern you'd like!
