Product Details

This design with its wide ribbing looks good in self-patterning and tonal variegated sock yarn, as well as solid colors for a simply classic, no-frills slouchy.

The pattern uses U.S. crochet terminology.

One size -- Small-Large -- fits most men and women. This size is for 21-23 in./53-58 cm head circumferences.

In addition, there’s an Extra Large size for 24 in./61 cm head circumferences. The pattern also offers an option to make the Extra Large size with a Small-Large ribbing band, if you have a lot of hair, or just like a fuller slouchy.

The pattern uses sock- or fingering-weight yarn, and takes 330 to 365 yd./302 to 334 m.

The main part of the slouchy is worked in spiral rounds of dc, and the ribbing is worked in joined rounds of post stitches. For a better drape, the main part of the slouchy is worked at a slightly looser gauge than usual for sock yarn.
