Solitude is a beaded lace shawl of an almost Faroese ‘tri-escent’ shape, and is a variant of the crescent shaped This Delicious Solitude. It begins as an extra wide triangle shape with an intriguing spine panel, then transitions elegantly into a gently rounded curve of intricate lace.
It is designed with the joy of solitude in mind, those moments when there is nothing more enjoyable than curling up with some beautiful yarn and elaborate lace.
It’s suitable for any yardage over 300m of lace to DK weight yarn, by adapting needle size to your preferred gauge.
The shawl can be worked entirely from the written pattern, or from charts with some notes. Pattern rows are worked on the right side only. A moveable stitch marker will come in handy for the spine.
