Product Details
SOS is a half circle shawl that begins with a gentle curve at the back of the neck, and expands in both length and width according to the taste of the knitter. The sizes shown in this listing are for the fingering weight versions, knit as written with 2 repeats of the second lace pattern. it is, however, very easy to customize this shawl by working more or less repeats of either lace pattern, or by choosing a different yarn weight, which will change the finished size. Yarn requirements and gauge for yarn weights from Lace to Aran are included in the document. The main body of the shawl is worked in a simple but pretty lace pattern that is easily memorized. The bind off is worked as a continuation of the edging. The lovely photos of my friend in her bridal gear were taken by Rebecca Ford, who is located in Grande Prairie AB, Canada. Rebecca graciously allowed me to use them here.
