SOUNDSCAPE COWL is a generous worsted weight infinity-style cowl that is perfect for social, TV, or car knitting. Sections of garter stitch are interrupted by dropped yarn overs to make soundwaves travelling across the body of the cowl. This pattern is worked in the round, from the bottom garter border toward the top garter border. It is designed to be worn doubled, as an extra-squishy neckwarmer.
YARN: Any worsted, aran, or DK weight yarn. This cowl is written for two colors, however more colors can be incorporated by making each section in different colors if desired (or can also be made in a single color). The sample uses 3 skeins of Bashful Armadillo Fibers worsted/aran weight yarn (181 yds/100g) – 2 skeins in the colorway Riders on the Sky (MC) and 1 skein in Heart of Gold (CC).
Special techniques include dropped stitches. All special techniques are demonstrated via YouTube links provided in the pattern.
