Product Details
Spring Awakening is a crescent-shaped shawl knitted from the bottom-up in a sock weight yarns.
It features garter stitch body with a wide lace border. I have used two different colours and yarns to achieve distinct wave effect. Shimmery/sparkly choice of yarns only add to it.
The shawl can easily be customised to any size (all directions are in the pattern). Pictures show 2 versions:
- Large - Shown in The Natural Dye Studio and Fyberspates Shelia’s Silver sock sparkle
- Medium - shown in Wollmeise Grun Fink and Neptune
- Small - shown in Wollmeise Petit Poison and Taube
The pattern is written and charted, all explained how to use charts in notes. It is important to read them!
In overall it is pretty easy and enjoyable pattern
Lace is worked on both sides, however, it in not to complicated and should not discourage a novice lace knitter
There is a very little grafting to be done (3 stitches only!), which can easily be substituted by three needle bind-off
