Product Details
Ready for some chicken knitting? This illustrated 8 page pattern takes you step-by-step through knitting and making up a plump hen, perfect to knit as an Easter gift.
Measuring 24cm tall, you can knit two chickens from the recommended ball of white Stylecraft Special Chunky yarn. And a hen can easily be knitted up in an afternoon if you're short on time for making Easter treats! The pattern is suitable for knitters with basic skills (casting on and off, knit stitch, purl stitch and increase/decrease) and she is knitted flat so no knitting in the round is needed.
To make your chicken you will need some chunky yarn in white, along with a small amount of chunky yarn in yellow and red (you can use any make you like) We used Stylecraft Special Chunky in White with very small amounts of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Matador Red and King Cole Big Value Chunky in Yellow.
(Nb the 'Hello Spring' sign is not part of the pattern.)
