Product Details
This hat is the 4ply version of the Robin Hood’s Bay beret. It combines sections of a traditional Old Shale pattern with stocking stitch. It is designed to be worn with a close fitting rib band and then a much larger body. It is lightweight and therefore perfect for the changing seasons. I used what was left from a skein of sock yarn, so it’s the ideal project if you always end up with remnants.
The brim comes in small, medium or large. 17 (18, 19)“/43 (46, 48.5)cm. It has charted and written instructions plus a schematic.
The lace weight version is Summer in Robin Hood's Bay.
The hat was knitted in The Knitting Goddess Britsock Yarn (40% British Bluefaced Leicester, 20% British Wensleydale, 20% British Alpaca, 20% Nylon) in colourway 15D Semi Solid Charcoal.
Thank you to my tech editor Linda Tabitha Thomas Studios, as well as all my wonderful test knitters.
