Product Details
Springle Ring is a beautifully soft and warm shawlette/scarf. Using a luxurious blend of mohair and silk, as seen here, produces a garment that is light, beautiful and a real pleasure to wear. Perfect to give a lift to dark winter coats and jackets, and airy and smart enough to wear over a dark sweater in a chilly office or at home. It is lovely to knit, simple but with enough detail to keep your interest. The name was inspired by one of my favourite books, Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and refers to a pretty dance performed by the Shire Hobbits. Pattern includes instructions for an Aran/Worsted weight version if you would prefer a larger shawl.
Method: Worked flat, turning after every row, from the top down. An applied border is then added which casts off the long edge as you work
