I used size 10 Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet thread in #419 Ecru for the center and #21 Linen for the edging, but you can use any brand and/or color(s) you choose.
These are intermediate patterns. The stitches used are sl st, ch, sc, dc, shell and picot. Instructions are given in the pattern for the shell and picot.
