Product Details
As a former geologist, I have a real appreciation for all things dinosaur! The stegosaurus, with its’ remarkable ridge of plates and spikes along its’ spine, is one of the most discernable of the dinosaurs. These plates may have been a brightly colored, flashy feature to attract a mate. But, since no real dinosaur skin has been preserved over time, paleontologists don’t really know what color any of the dinosaurs were. So, it is up to your imagination what color your dinosaur should be!
This 20 cm stegosaurus is a fast, fun and easy project, knitting flat and in the round, i-cords and intarsia work. It was knitted on 2.00 mm double pointed needles (UK 12, US 0) in Scheepjes Stonewashed (827) peridot, Scheepjes Riverwashed (951) Amazon and (946) Mississippi and Lopi Einband (851) white. I’ve added a strand of Gütermann Sulky Glowy 40 (07) neon green glow-in-the-dark yarn to the knit.
So, start your own Jurassic world and knit this dino-myte dinosaur back in existence!

- The eyes can made in thin black yarn or with small black beads. A strand of glow-in-the-dark sewing yarn gives a special effect to the dinosaur.
