Product Details
The vanishing point wireframe grid was an iconic element of the 1980s. The grid was a symbol of the limitless possibilities of the future. Let’s get back to this vision of the future with a fun, fast, light-weight summer piece!
The wrap is knitted end-to-end and uses slipped stitches to create the wireframe design. Each half of the wrap has 42 contrast stripes in seven colors (84 total stripes). The color sequence is repeated twice per half, although alternative instructions are provided for a gradient (or whatever you please!) where each color is worked only once per half. The second half of the wrap is a mirror image of the first half.
The wrap could also be worked using a single skein of contrast color for all stripes. Or you could explore alternative striping schemes! And since each stripe uses approximately 5 yards or 1.15 g of the recommended weight yarn, this would also be a great project for using up scraps of yarn!
