Fingerless mittens made with 2x2 ribbing for a cuff, top and thumb, stockinette stitch on a palm and broken rib on backside of a hand. Perfect one small skein project or to use leftover yarn.
Skills:
You’ll need to know how to knit in a round. You’ll choose your preferable needles (4 dpns, 5 dpns or circular) and dived sts as you usually do for this type of knitting.
Pattern uses Right (RLI) and Left (LLI) lifted increases. You can easily find video tutorials on Youtube or use other types of increases like Kfb, or M1R/M1L.
Materials:
110 yds (100 m) of Juniper Moon Farm Stratus or choose other worsted/aran weight yarn
Needles size US 7 (4.5 mm)
2 markers, Tapestry Needle, Piece of waste yarn
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch in the round
Size: Adult Medium, to fit 8” (20 cm) hand circumference at palm
Finished size 7” (18 cm) long and 6.5” (17 cm) circumference
