Product Details

I love the fresh green of spring leaves and cheerful spring flowers. Although the weather can be a bit chilly, I’m usually ready for a change from winter woollies. The Striated cowl is light and can be worn as a single loop or doubled up for extra warmth.

Striated begins with a provisional cast-on, is knitted in rows using a simple, but striking faggot stitch and is edged with a chain selvedge. It is finished by grafting the two ends together, so the finished cowl appears seamless. It would make a great project for someone new to lace knitting.

The pattern for Striated cowl is available to purchase here as a digital pdf download, or as a printed pattern (together with a free Ravelry download code) from the Being Knitterly webstore.

The A4 pattern has 4 pages:

Cover. 2. Before You Start: notes, sizing, yarn, tension | gauge and abbreviations. Written instructions. 3. Stitch guide: crochet provisional cast-on. 4. Stitch guide: Kitchener stitch.
