Product Details
The Summer Seashore Lace Shawl was inspired by the thought of looking forward to summer. I live in the Lake District which is situated in the north of England, a very picturesque area but summer seems to have forgotten us for the last few years! So I tried to combine patterns that evoke the seashore and the thought of warm summer nights.
The shawl is knitted from the top down, You start with a Cherry Leaf pattern, which for my purposes I'm renaming Mussel Shell. This then leads into a Shetland favourite, Print 'O' the Wave and then ends in another Shetland classic, Cockleshell.
The gauge described is once blocked. Gauge is not important as it's a shawl but if you use different size needles or weight of yarn, the amount of yarn will alter as will the finished size.
Finished blocked size: 68"/174cm x 40"/102cm
Required 600m of yarn with 4mm needles.
