Sweethearts - Blanket

A lovely blanket, available in three sizes, with sweet hearts that can be enjoyed from any angle.

Written in English using UK terms, includes written row by row instructions and also an accompanying chart for each of the three sizes.

Please note that the number of hearts on each blanket differs (the photographs show the small size):

Small – 5 hearts wide, 7 hearts high.

Medium – 7 hearts wide, 9 hearts high.

Large – 9 hearts wide, 11 heart high.

Skills required: Cast on, knit, purl, cast off

Approximate size:

Small – 26 x 34 in/66 x 86 cm

Medium – 34 x 42 in/86 x 106 cm

Large – 43 x 51 in/109 x 129 cm

Yarn:

I used Women’s Institute Soft and Smooth Aran (pictured in Deep Red but any yarn that meets the weight/tension requirements would be suitable.

Tension:

18sts and 27 rows to 4 in/10cm square over st st using 4.5mm/#7 needles
