This design is quite simply the most fun pair of socks I've ever created. They emerged magically from a day spent swatching and playing around with some slipped stitch patterns. A thought in my head very quickly turned into the leg of a sock and I was addicted!
The beautiful swirly fabric appearing under my needles brought me such excitement. My head was full of all the fabulous colour possibilites.
The Swirlywoo Socks knit up quickly and are deceptively simple to knit. You will need 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn in shades that have a really good contrast.
As the pattern contains slipped stitches, care should be taken to ensure you get the gauge stated in the pattern (8 stitches to the inch).
The pattern contains 2 video tutorials that show how I like to alternate my 2 yarns. The pattern is both written and charted.
